For me, reviewing a bad or mediocre album is much easier than reviewing a good album. Maybe it’s that streak of nastiness that’s left inside all of us from when we were judgmental and selfish little kids. Maybe it’s because I can think of more synonyms for the word ‘sucky’ than I can for the word ‘awesome’. Maybe it’s because I’m a sub-par journalist.
